Anneline Coetzer Matriculated at Afrikaans Hoër Durban Noord in 1993. Started studying at Pretoria University in 1994. Did my Honours in Social Work and Psychology. In 1998 I opened my private practice in Pretoria and loved working with teenagers and couples in therapy. In 1999 I moved to Phalaborwa and continued my private practice. I was the therapist of the Careways Group in Phalaborwa, Hoedspruit and Tzaneen. I am married to Pieter and we have a girl and two boys. I often worked with patients that had eating disorders and did a lot of research in that area. My research and passion continued in helping individuals to understand their emotional eating habits. Over the last 8 years I have helped hundreds of people with the process of healing and losing weight. The passion to open my own weight loss clinic was the beginning of AC Therapy. I believe that it is very difficult for any person to lose weight if they do not understand themselves, that is why we focus on an emotional assessment with an eating plan and the right supplements. |
Doctor
(MbChb U.S) I grew up in Worcester in the Western Cape and graduated at the University of Stellenbosch in 1997. In 1994 I decided to take a "gap" year from studying and went to explore the world a little. I worked as a chef, nanny and housecleaner in London and then ended up on a farm in Scotland where I had great fun driving around tractors and forklifts! After graduating, I did my internship at Karl Bremmer Hospital in the Western Cape and then my community service year at Shongwe Mission Hospital in Mpumalanga. I have been in Private Practice since 2000 and I thoroughly enjoy what I do. To me it is more important to be a Healer than just a Doctor. I have been Happily married for 3 years and though no children yet, we have a menagerie of animals (most of them SPCA rescues). My passion is Horses and I am currently owned by a very handsome Friesian named Zorro. Though I am a qualified medical practitioner, I believe that to heal or cure any disease (including obesity or being overweight) far greater results are achieved with a Holistic and also Natural approach. There are currently so many "quick fix miracle diet cures" on the market, but none of these assist in the Natural change in Lifestyle, or give the emotional support one needsto loose the extra weight that AC Therapy offers. I have known Anneline Coetzer for 3 years and I am proud to be associated with AC Therapy. |
Therapist
Sanet Goldshagg I obtained a degree in Business Communications at the North-West University in 2001. Since I combined my studies with Psychology I was able to obtain a post-graduate qualification in Functional/Pastoral Therapy and Assessment at Perspective Training College in collaboration with UNISA in 2003. In 1998 and 1999 I was fortunate to complete two Diplomas at His People International Bible School. Throughout my studies I committed myself to completing a number of additional certificate courses, some of which are Personality Profiles, Small Group Dynamics, Leadership Skills, Play Therapy, Theophostics and more. I have been doing therapy, corporate- and personal assessments, career guidance, study method courses and specialized workshops since the year 2000 and am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Functional Therapy at Perspective Training College in collaboration with Therapon University. I am the online therapist that will assist you all the way to the finish line. I have been employed by AC Therapy for 3 years now. My job is not only to assist all the dieters, but also to provide therapeutic services to the community of Phalaborwa. It feels great to be able to help others and it makes sense of my life. I have a story of my own that I want to share with you. By helping others through their struggles I can live out my passion for people. Here is my story: Diets, food-addiction and eating disorders have been my companions from since I can remember. Even as a 5-year old my eating habits were out of control. My parents were desperate to help me, but the hold that food had on my life was just too strong. I was 10 years old when I first engaged in eating disorder behaviours and by the age of 12, I was bulimic. Not only did I put myself through intense pain and self-loathing but I really hurt my family and the people who love me. It is a desperate and lonely road but I just never had the strength to overcome Bulimia. I gave Bulimia the right to control me for almost 18 years. It is only during recent years that I found the strength, through grace, to break free from this illness. There is no instant recipe to heal from Bulimia Nervosa. It takes time, patience, tons of grace and forgiving yourself, support and dedication. It’s like learning to walk. I failed many times. The difference is that I daily chose to stand up more times than I fell down. Food lost its grip on me and I can truthfully say that in the last few years I have managed to feel at peace with food and with myself. I am no longer a slave to Bulimia! Even though I don’t have the slimmest, sexiest body, I love myself for the complete person that I am now. I am much healthier than I was 5 years ago, even though I still have to lose some excess weight. With the help and support of my friends and colleagues at AC Therapy, I have adapted to a healthy way of eating and my body is healing itself. Like with any other addiction, I still have times that are more difficult than others, but I can truly say that there are tools and support available to pull me through every tough spot! I found balance and freedom and I LOVE IT!!!! Through grace I have lost 10kg in 2009. I am amaized at the goodness of the Lord and I am grateful for all the support from my family and friends. I am so proud of my husband who has manage to lose 18kg in 2009. With all of you behind me, I can now aim to lose another 10kg in 2010!!!! |

When I moved to Pretoria in 1982, I completed a Diploma in Modelling at the Cleopatra International Modelling School and also continued to teach modelling to junior models at that School. During this time I also completed courses in fitness training, health and beauty care and continued with all three disciplines, until my husband was transferred to the Eastern Cape in the early nineties, where I opened a professional Beauty Salon and Fitness Centre in East London. Due to my interests in health and beauty over the years, I finally completed a reflexology course when we returned to Pretoria in 2000. I have since then registered as a Therapeutic Reflexologist with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (Reg no. 1080000230308), which is a division of the Board of Health Care Funders. For the past three years I have been using ACT products as part of my care programs for patients and I have had many testimonials confirming great relief from patients suffering from numerous diseases. I also talk about the products and general health matters on a local radio station twice a month on Tuesday afternoons. I am looking forward to giving you information on our products, so you can prevent illness, heal and strengthen the body and feed the soul.

My husband and I joined the programme just as the time when Phalaborwa weight loss king and queen started. We joined the competition. I lost 11kg in 2 months and my husband, who won the title as king, lost 38kg in 3 months. We stayed on the programme after the competion and still went to anneline to weigh. In 2009 Anneline phoned me asking if I am interested in joining her team. I didn't give is a thought and jumped on board. Its almost a year working at AC Therapy and everyday is different with different challenges. And that is why I love working here. To help people with their problems and to help promote the best Diet & Health Clinic in South Africa. |

I matriculated in 1981 at Frans du Toit High School in Phalaborwa and did my secretarial diploma at Phalaborwa Technical College. I started working as a Personal Assistant with Sanlam in Pretoria. I got married and moved back to my hometown Phalaborwa because my husband fell in love with the beautiful town! After I started working at financial brokers I fell pregnant with twins! It was a full time job and when they were 8 months old I started working as a bookkeeper. We had another daughter and in between being a mom, I worked as my husband's bookkeeper. I got to know Anneline Coetzer as a therapist when one of my daughters became very depressed and appeared to be in a deep, dark hole. Anneline was the one who helped her to see the bright side of life. Anneline has an amazing God-given talent to talk to people and make them feel positive about life, their families and themselves. Last year my daughter started studying and gave herself to the Lord. I do not know where she would have been now, if Anneline was not there to help her on her journey to healing. I will always be thankful to her.
